Battle Runes of Metalaria

Battle Runes of Metalaria is an action packed, chaos infused board game for up to four players. Stack your runes to make vertical and horizontal combos or destroy your opponents runes with fire and lightning. Use one of the four team's unique runes to make rapid strategic decisions filling your power meter to unleash your ultimate move. Pick your favourite Metalaria band to play as on the board as you progress through four campaigns or battle it out against other players locally and online. Fight for fame and glory in the heavy metal world of Metalaria.

STACK 3 RUNES 

Build your rune stacks out of three similar runes to capture the cell or score points. Choose cells with multipliers for even more points. Get the most points, coins, or claim the most board cells to win the round. 

ATTACK YOUR ENEMIES

Use your triangular Attack runes to destroy enemy runes and stop them from claiming the cell or scoring points. Use square defence runes to block an attack, unless your enemy has the unstoppable Beast rune!

EXECUTE COMBOS

Set up strategic two-stacks of runes, then trigger them all at once with an adjacent complete three-stack. You might just win an entire game with one well-timed combo!

PLAY ONE OF FOUR UNIQUE TEAMS

Choose one of Metalaria's four legendary bands to play as. Each team has their own special rune and their own maximum power move, unleashed by progressively scoring points until your power bar fills.

UP TO FOUR PLAYERS

The game board scales with you and your foes. Play 1v1, 1v1v1, or 1v1v1v1 in chaotic battles that scale to the player size. Play online in a quick match - first to three wins across multiple game modes. Or create a custom lobby and invite your friends for a more friendly paced match. Even LAN games are supported. Otherwise, hone your skills in a custom game against the AI, ranging from a trivial challenge to a nearly impossible opponent.

FOUR GAME MODES

With four different ways to play the board, you'll always have something to come back to. Face your foes in

• Crescendo mode - a battle of attrition as you try to capture the target number of cells

• Points - fast paced and chaotic as you fight to score the most points

• Coins - make some beer money as you grab coins that have landed on the board

• Strategy - complete a shape on the board known only to you

Metalaria is world built around heavy metal, epic month-long concerts, and showdowns between mega bands on the Battle Runes board. Pick your team and fight for fame among the other legendary contenders and newcomers alike. Watch out for 1v1s as other bands try and intimidate you on your tour, or look for a friendly tuneup match.
